Thor #165

This post’s Key Comic, Thor #165 is a ticking time bomb, last chance to get this comic, before it becomes an Elite key and the price increases blows up to be out of the reach of most collectors. Not a whole lot of time left before it explodes!

Another great comic masterpiece by the incredible creative team of writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, featuring the first full appearance of Him (Adam Warlock).

Adam Warlock is an extremely important and popular Marvel character that was introduced in the Bronze Age (another way of saying the seventies!).

It wasn’t until a new up-and-coming writer/artist Jim Starlin worked on the character in the series Strange Tales, that Adam Warlock’s adventures became more cosmic and epic in scope. The story of Adam Warlock mimics the events of the life of Jesus. Adam Warlock is born to be human perfection through an unnatural birth. He fought to save the world by fighting the demonic Man-Beast, dies on a cross, and is resurrected multiple times. He ascends to Godhood by acquiring the most powerful object in the Marvel Universe, the Infinity Gauntlet.

The Infinity Gauntlet is golden glove gauntlet that is meant to hold six immensely powerful gems called the Infinity Gems. Each gem represents a different characteristic and allows the user to command the power aspect of the gem. The six gems are the Soul, Time, Space, Mind, Reality and Power gems.

The Infinity Gems

Once the Infinity Gauntlet is completed with the six Infinity gems, the holder of the gauntlet gains virtual supreme power of omnipotence in the Marvel Universe. In the movie universe, the gems are called stones.
